I thought to myself, it's so true man. Many times i thought of going for a dramatic haircut, dress up differently from others, not afraid to be who i wanna be or maybe am. But most of the time, i couldnt overcome the fear, like he said, peer pressure or maybe the pressure from the onlookers. Some may say, "who cares, just be who u wanna be!". That does not apply to everyone u see. I'm not adventurous enough to take that kinda pressure. Pam always say "be confident of youself and u'll look good". I've tried but sad to say, when i try to look confident, i dont actually feel confident inside. Instead, my face look super cocky that u wanna walk right up to me and give me a damn tight slap. haha
Maybe one day when i brave up enough courage or when an apple falls on my head, i would go for the change that i've always wanted.
And on the topic of styles, dont u agree that the people u hangout with will somehow determine your dress sense?
When i was in pri and sec sch, my styles were usually inspired by Pam, not that it is not now, just that when we grow older, we are more exposed to the world outside and we see thousands of different styles and have a wider selection of how we wanna dress. Pam was like fashion goddess to me man. haha. 1 other example in existence now would be my brother.
Now that he hangs out with emo-looking people, they practically have similar hairstyles. And the black tank with skinny jeans is like his trademark style now. He wears them like 10 times a week. And trying to get him to cut that hair is as difficult as trying to get a mischievous boy to do his homework. Trying all means to avoid the hair salon.
