Tell me about life

Sometimes i wonder..maybe i should start striving hard for my future, as in really really hard. I would study everyday after school, forgo my play time after school or during the weekends, just study and aim for straight As, be thrifty and save every cent possible so that i can buy my own car and house by the age of 35. Working in the top management of a well known hotel. I'll make new friends then whom are just eyeing on my fortune. Hmmm...but then again, i'm only young once. I should have as much fun as i can get, splurge on clothings that can only compliment my age now, eat and enjoy long talks over coffee with bestfriends. And i wanna grow up with this bunch of friends, create memories that i can look back at when i'm old, dont u think this is how life should be like instead?

Young at heart

Parents nowadays are typing smses like us, youngsters. And they can be pretty lame at times. Like this afternoon, i asked a favor of my mom and i said "thank you! i love u very very much" and she replied, "u are not welcome, just joking....... see u 2night, lv u 2" haha, isnt it lame? yet so adorable. I showed it to my bro and he said, "OMG, what happened to our mother?" LOL and my dad's friend just used my dad's phone (in his pressence) and typed "i luv u babe" and sent it to my mom. Haha they use lingos more than me man!

Had dinner with the girls at our "favourite" makan place, al ameen, and sherie drove us home after. Thanks for the ride babe.

Bad at theories

I freaking failed my final theory evaluation by 1 damn question! I'm so sick and tired of theories! I did study okay, but the questions were so unpredictable and tricky, and i wouldnt feel so bad if i failed by 3 or 4 qsts, but instead, i just failed by 1 freaking question! I wanna get it over and done with ASAP! Help help help!
School holiday, come quickly pls! I'm gonna embrace u with open arms. Just 2 more weeks + 1 exams week and i'm done with half of semester 1! Hooray!

Birthday season

Oh mid of the year, hot months to have babies i guess. Many birthdays took place and soon to take place. And it's burning up a BIG BIG hole in my pocket! Ahhhh...

Sunday 18th May: Work, as usual and after that, met Roxy! Dragged our feets around town until it was time for the shortlisted short films in the international film festival, playing at OldSchool Sinema. 1 particular film which we felt was ridiculous, and as for the others, it was not bad. Especially the winning film which stars the oh-so-cute Darryl Pan! :) I think it's still showing, go catch it. $8 for 7 short films, and the theatre is kinda small but very very cosy. Great experience.

A change that leads nowhere

This time, it's rouge, not zouk.
On a fri night, returning home early when u're out already is not ideal. Same goes for Ruyi, she was in town with her friends as well. So after celebrating Annie's 18th in town, i took my leave and head out to look for Ruyi and we went to Rouge to look for my brother and friends. It was already 2am so it would not be worth it if we pay to enter MOS or Zouk. Rouge was holding an underage party. I did not pay so it was pretty worth it to experience being "underage" again. haha my cous asked the bartender "what drinks do u have?", and his reply was "coke or sprite.." So it was coke, sprite, and skimpily-dressed 16 yr olds, that's pretty much all of it. And when we were leaving, the bouncer was telling us "come back when u're 18th." and that sent the both of us laughing, "we are waiting to enter velvet underground man!" Okay we did not say that. =P

overdued excursions

23rd Apr: We had the privilege as Shatec students, to visit the Food Hotel Asia event at singapore expo. I heard entrance fee was like 80$? And some of the exhibitors could not be bothered about us because obviously we do not have money to buy their products and were only there for free food! =D

08th May: And as for housekeeping's "field trip", we went to Klenco, a company that supply cleaning equipments. At some point it was boring as hell, but when the class clowns start their nonsense, the laughing gas was inhaled right down to my ass.

What the chickanaden! I failed my ft evaluation today and obviously, they cancelled my ftt which is this thurs and forfeited my $6! I did not know that we can do our evaluation more than 14 days before the actual test date. All these while i thought we were suppose to pass our evaluation within 14 days from test date until Rox told me, but it was too late already. Shucks! And during the evaluation, i was shaking my head(gently) as i stare blankly at some tricky questions. Headed to work after and i by the time i got home, i was so shag and sleepy, like i'm falling asleep now, to even start studying for maths test tmr. Just flung it la huh.

the dollar meal

Nowadays, i've been falling asleep without shutting down my laptop. Tsktsk, my mom's gonna kill me when she receives the electricity bill. So if u see me online at wee hours, i am asleep already. Don't think i 'dao' u or whatsoever.
Anyway, occasionally in sch, some students under training in the sch's "restaurant (classroom size)" will take reservations for students like us to dine there as "customers" so they could serve us as a form of practice before they go out to actual restaurants for attachments. So today, dinner was going for a dollar only, yes a freaking dollar for miso soup, main dish which includes japanese rice, some baked chicken and kailan (which tasted like wasabi, wtf) and coffee or tea. The main dish was pretty tasty and a mocktail was probably bout a dollar for a glass. So the total bill for 3 of us at the table came up to only $5. Haha good deal huh! You cant even fill 2 stomachs at mac with $5.

Fri night, phuture again, and this time with pris and jess, louis, melvin and friend. Great night. Let pics do the talking. I lazy....=P

Sat evening, hanged out with Sher and Pat. Mc-cafe, haha tight budget can! And Sher drove us home in her bf's car. Bad directions from me and pat that led us circling west coast area for appx 20mins. We lost our freaking way!! Pat and I were so guilty and didnt dare utter a word cos it was her bf's car, and he was just sitting in the front passenger seat. Haha and just before we got into the car, she was still saying, 'please direct the route that saves more petrol' haha sorrry!!

And today, it's mother's day! So dadday picked me up after work and we met the rest and grandma at raffles town club for dinner and a round of bowling. Happy Mother's day to all mommies! And to my mommy, i love u xoxo!

Their typical conversation

I was watching tv in the living room and listening to my parent's conversation at the same time. My dad's going out to play soccer with his friends so he was putting on his soccer gear. All the bandage-like protection, shoes and was wearing a loose shirt and tights..

Mom: Aiyo, wrap until like that..and u're gonna ride a bike there. tsk tsk tsk. I am not going to ride in your bike with u wearing like that.
Dad: I also don't want you to ride with me when i'm dressed like that. (childish, haha)
And my mom just 'tsk' all the way..

Dad: Wah now the price of everything increasing. Eat rice with 3 dishes at the hawker centre cost $3+ okay.
Mom: Then...now then u know ah.
Dad: So i ask my friend that comes in from Malaysia every morning to 'da bao' rice for me. 3 dishes and rice only $1.50 okay.
Mom: Aye save alot leh like that.
And i just sat down there and shake my head..and before he left the house, he ask..
Dad: Aye so later after ur driving, still want me to come and fetch u?
Me: Eeeeeee no! I have to hug ur sweaty body all the way home..ewww!
And the both of them just laugh out loud.
They are very typical cheena parents but they can be really adorable at times and best of all, they are the ones that love me most! =D

Sam's 19th

Topshop and miss selfridge was having some 20% sale last weekend. Boohoo! because i had to resist the temptation of stepping into any topshop or miss selfridge store as i have zilch $$ to my name..=(( And window shopping is very cruel!

So last sat was sam's 19th and he invited us over to his place for some bbq. Yes, bbqed food when throat's swelling, woo Jessica, u wanna die isit!
The party got really messy..Louis was spitting watermelon seeds at Fang, Cindy scared Fang with the squid from the "hokkien mee" thus causing the bottle of ketchup sauce to topple over, some chicken/prawn/squid caught fire on the bbq so sherie chucked it on the floor and samuel, together with melvin put out the flame with their feet, wearing only slippers! (ouch!) Louis was spilling "chinchow" all over us on the swing, Fang knocked over the whole tub of salt and she threw a watermelon at louis's face. LOL! He disallow us to post that picture.
And after we blew out the candles, everyone attacked the fruits at the top of the cake and left a whole lot of cream and cake so we decided to smash it at sam. After a failed attempt, he got hold of the cake. After another failed attempt on trying to get him to smash it on himself, he picked up the smashed pieces and started throwing it at us. Ed was the most unlucky, he got hit the moment he stepped out of the house.

This shadow of Ed is really creepy but funny at the same time. hahaHappy 19th birthday, Sam!

Kill me !!

These days, my mood changes so damn rapidly that sometimes i wonder what is wrong with me, what the hell is it that i want?! It can go really high sometimes and then the next moment, it will hit rock bottom. Like what the fuck? So many times i just feel like stabbing my heart and scream "WHAT YOU WANT!" Someone tell me what's my fucking problem pls.

Okay now i'm good again cos Pat just came online and that means i can see pics!

Sick to ur backside

Caught the fever virus last night after project discussion with the guys so i am currently blogging from bed. Feeling a whole lot better after medication and a nap.
On wed, we attended a workshop by 'shiseido'. We had a hands-on session by removing our initial make-up and then applying their make-up according to the steps. The workshop also included mini samples and vouchers from 'shiseido' and at the end of the session, they would touch-up on the make-up u had applied and they also trimmed our eye brows. It was hella fun. Best of all, the workshop only costed us 10 freaking bucks! =D
After that, head to phuture to meet the girls. The queue was the longest i've ever seen since i started clubbing due to the public holiday eve. Unfortunately Sherie, her bf and fang's bf did not make it inside. And thank god for Pris and her friend for letting us cut their queue, otherwise i doubt we can make it in too.

Progress tests commence next week and i have yet to revise on any shit. Projects projects and more projects. Hardly have time to head down to sign up for gym. I'm gonna start revising on sunday during work. haha that dumbass company pays me to study! And hopefully i could recover by tmr morning to lend support to the guys at the soccer tournament tmr.
